Choose a freehold area

Only brokers registered with Dubai's Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) are legally permitted to arrange property transactions. A registered agent will hold a valid broker card and can verify a listing's ownership and any mortgage or dispute against it via the DLD.

Work with a RERA-registered broker

Once you agree a price, both parties sign a Memorandum of Understanding — the DLD's standard Form F — and the buyer typically pays a 10% deposit held with the agent or a trustee.

For a resale property, the seller applies to the original developer for an NOC confirming there are no outstanding service charges or dues — this is required before DLD will register the transfer.
